Hold Your Head Up

As victims of sexual abuse, sometimes we feel inferior to others, as if we are too dirty to even live. It's not true! We aren't inferior to anyone and we don't deserve what happened to us. We must learn to control those thoughts that send us whirling backward into the abyss of depression, self-hate, and even suicidal thoughts.

It isn't easy to stand up and hold your head up again, but each day you do it, the easier it becomes. Each day you have to make a decision that you're going to enjoy your life and you won't allow the tragedy to have any more of your life.
